1986 – 1993. studied at the University of Hamburg and at the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel in the subjects:

Archeology
European Ethnology.
History of Arts.
Ethnology, Medieval and Modern History.

1992: Master of Arts degree in Archeology.

1997: Doctorate in Archeology.

Occupation

February 1993 – March 1998: Scientific assistant at the State Office for the Preservation of Archaeological Monuments in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and the State Archaeological Museum as project manager of the large-scale excavation project „Archaeological Excavations in the Course of the Baltic Sea Motorway A 20“.

April 1998 – December 1998. Scientific assistant at the State Office for Archaeology with the State Museum for Prehistory of Saxony for the revision of the Görlitz archeological Collection.

Since January 1999 head of the Department of Prehistory at the Cultural History Museum Görlitz.

Since May 2000 museum director of the Cultural History Museum Görlitz and deputy director of the Municipal Collections for History and Culture Görlitz with the departments Cultural History Museum, Upper Lusatian Library of Sciences and Historical Council Archive.

Since May 2018 Director of the Görlitz Collections for History and Culture with the departments Cultural History Museum and Upper Lusatian Library of Sciences.
