Exchanges with Neighbors

The concept „Exchanges with the Neighbors“ includes a series of conversations that will take place online and at regular intervals. This format is an opportunity to introduce institutions and their special fields of activity and also serves as an informal exchange among the participants. The invited institutions present projects, special interests or current issues on which they are currently working or which have just been completed. Challenges or the pioneering work that went along with these projects can be shared in this platform. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity for discussion, moderated by the inviting institution. The exchange between the German and Polish museum landscape is particularly close to our hearts. In order to promote this, we have enthusiastically joined the „German-Polish Museum Dialogue“, which is conceived and organized by the DMB and NIMOZ. With our format, we would like to learn more from our colleagues (especially since we were not able to get to know all participants better during the project, which lasted several months), about their institution, its objectives, visitor development and future projects in the areas of collection, exhibition and outreach. It is important to take into account the special requirements of the museums; for example, colleagues from Ukrainian museums will also be invited. Audience Development as a core task. Exchanging experiences, sharing knowledge and developing cooperation in the future – all these areas are to be facilitated and deepened in our „Online Seminars“. The „German-Polish Museum Dialogue“ is the basis for a trustful cooperation, we would like to continue to expand our transnational network. The implementation of the project is nevertheless questionable for organizational reasons, it would be nice if this could be located at the „German-Polish Museum Dialogue“.
